ABOUT ANNA

ANNA PRIMIANI is a professionally trained actress with a rich background in film and performance. She’s studied at VADA, Hollywood studios and the U of A. She's been in several commercials, short films, independent and feature films, earning praise for her emotional depth and screen presence.

Recently she was in Castle Rock’s WIND RIVER and Northern Gateway Films TEAM BRIDE. Other roles include Cleopatra in Disney’s TREASURE BUDDIES, the lead, Kathy in the emotionally charged true story, SHE COULD BE YOU, Gina in THE CHOICE and earning an AMPIA on for her role as Celia in THE TABLE BETWEEN US to name a few.

Her passion to explore dynamic and heartfelt stories, and deep understanding of character and human emotion led her to screenwriting. Her work has been recognized for its richly drawn characters and thought-provoking narratives.

Her scripts delve into the intricacies of human connection, complex characters, , and the quiet truths that often go unspoken—garnering critical acclaim and multiple screenwriting awards. THE CHOICE which she wrote, produced and starred in won the Grand Prize Remi at Worldfest Houston in 2023. In 2024 she started her own production company DARK WOLF FILMS with THE TABLE BETWEEN US as its first production. The short film is currently in the festival circuit, garnering 5 AMPIA nominations is screening worldwide. WEIGHT, recently won Best Script at Yes! Let’s Make a Movie Film Festival and she is in pre-production for her first feature film TRAFICADA. A compelling narrative that delves into human trafficking.

Driven by a her desire to create community and connection she is part of the team bringing you THE ACTORS TOOLBOX, the only class in Edmonton that seeks to empower actors with the tools they need to succeed while cultivating a supportive creative community.

ANNA PRIMIANI-FEATURED HERE IN LADIES CORNER MAGAZINE

ANNA continues to explore complex characters and bringing them to life on the screen. She has written many short films, essays, short stories and now is writing her first feature film. She is an emerging as a producer and believes in cultivating community and growth.

Anna will be in THE LONG HAUL debut short film for first time Writer/Producer Brooke Erensoy filming Summer 2024.

Anna filmed My Final Victim for LIfetime and

Wind River: Rising out later this year.

Anna's latest short film "THE TABLE BETWEEN US" is premiering at the

38th Edmonton International Film Festival in the fall of 2024 and nominated

for 5 AMPIA/ROSIE awards for Best Film, Best Original Score, Best Sound,

Best Make Up and Best Actress for Anna. The film screened at Northwest Film

Festival and will screen in Toronto in July 2025 at ICFF.

She wrote, starred and produced it with first time director Nikki Rae Hallow.

Anna and NIkki are in production of their second short film THE HALLOW ROOM.

Anna starred in, wrote and produced her short film THE CHOICE . The Choice had

world premiere at the 56th annual WorldFest Houston International Film Festival

here she won the GRAND PRIZE GOLDEN REMI AWARD for Best in Show-Original

Dramatic Short. Anna is honored to receive an award preciously bestowed to film legends including, Steven Spielberg and Ang Lee. THE CHOICE wins BEST Canadian Short at GIFFT in Toronto in October 2024!THE CHOICE had it's Alberta Premiere in its hometown at the Edmonton Short Film Festival. Global interview HERE.

Her short film LET FOREVER BE, has won best short film and ANNA won for BEST ACTRESS in several festivals including Toronto Independent Film Festival at CIFT and Florida Shorts. It is screening at the MLC AWARDS on January 14th 2023 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Anna is nominated for Best Leading Actress, the film is also nominated for cinematography and best original idea.

Her Short Script WEIGHT has also won multiple awards and is in the stages of

securing financing to move into pre-producution.
